I love lounge looks. I enjoy traveling, and I am always excited to see a new hotel lobby with a fresh lounge area. One of my all time favorites is The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hotel lobby. I love how everything is dripping with crystals!

My definition of a “lounge look” is simply a posh area with couches and comfy seating. Colored lighting adds drama and can make the space feel more club-like. I think it is nice to hold cocktail hour in a lounge area before entering the main room. It creates a sense of anticipation and also encourages guests to visit with each other and feel more at home. Just don’t keep your guests waiting past the allotted time – you don’t want restless guests! You may also choose to create a lounge area for a reception or after party. This may result in less dancing overall, but perhaps that’s the atmosphere you are trying to achieve! Here are some of my favorite lounge looks.
