I think we all can agree that weddings are stressful. But they certainly don’t have to be for the wedding party! Many people think that hiring an event planner would be more costly however one of planners’ specialties is leveraging their relationships in the industry to get you the best deals possible! Event planners are able to work with budgets of all kinds and make dreams come true, saving you the trouble of messing with all of the stressful and tedious tasks that come along with planning a wedding.

If nothing else, make sure to hire an event planner for all of the day-of coordination. Depending on your needs and location, a day-of coordinator can range from $800 to $2,600. This generally comes out to 5-10% of the entire cost of the wedding. Some venues provide their own day-of coordinators built into the cost of the venue rental. Be sure that these coordinators will meet all of your needs as sometimes these roles do not always fill the full role of a day-of coordinator. Working with a day-of coordinator starts at a minimum three to four weeks before the wedding date.

  1. Visits the site with you and discusses all of the details you have already planned

  2. Develops and executes a detailed timeline and works with all of the vendors/wedding professionals

  5. Checks all the small details (including place settings, favors, etc.)

  6. Assists the bride and her wedding party with dressing and with the photo schedule

  10. Distributes tips and oversees breakdown
