5 Fabulous Food Bar Ideas

| May 20, 2013 | 3 Comments

I think food bars are amazing. They allow for guests to customize their dish and make it as flavorful or as simple as they want. (For example, I usually opt for a flavor-packed cheeseburger whereas one of my best friends always wants the bare minimum – no cheese, no ketchup – just the bun and meat.) When thinking about your guests, you want to provide them with the most fabulous food bar ideas as possible. So think about re-creating one of these ideas at your next event! Your guests will love it!

10 Fabulous Food Bar Ideas

Spud Bar (Potatoes)

Who doesn’t love a baked potato? Lay out foil wrapped, warm potatoes for guests and let them cover it in cheeses, sour cream, chives, and bacon.

S’mores Bar

S’mores are so delicious – I love the smell of a campfire as I roast some marshmallows. Place all the essentials at your S’mores Bar – chocolate bars, graham crackers, large marshmallows, fire, and skewers. You don’t have to create a bonfire for guests – they can warm the marshmallows just as easily over an open candle flame. If you want guests to have more options, try using different chocolates, like cookies and cream or dark chocolate, or the cinnammon graham crackers in addition to the original honey.

Hot Cocoa Bar

At my Tacky Sweater Christmas Party thrown in 2012, I provided guests with a Hot Cocoa Bar. They could choose from lots of additions, including caramel chips, chocolate chips, Andes mints, and peppermint schnapps! PB&J Bar

Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches are simply the best. They are hard to mess up and always delicious! Provide guests with different jams, peanut butters (crunchy and smooth), and honey. Yum!

Frozen Yogurt Bar

Is it just me or are frozen yogurt places popping up everywhere?! Clearly this food is getting popular so why not incorporate it into your event. Just like those “make your own” frozen yogurt bars, let guests pick exactly what they want to mix into their refreshing treat.
